Spot My Coolness (known around the barn as Little Bit) is a 15.1hh 4 year old Appaloosa gelding. He was started last year by Stacey McCoy with 30 days under saddle then turned out to mature. He has been in training this year for 60 days. Little Bit is an athletic willing learner, but is quiet and patient. He is a horse that has been started right and is more than capable of excelling in whatever discipline that you want to finish him in.
Little Bit goes well in both western and english tack and has been trail ridden extensively. He was started with a strong foundation in natural horsemanship and ground work. He has good feet and has remained healthy and sound throughout his training. Little Bit is happy in a stall or turned out. He stands well for the farrier, loads, and trailers well. No known vices.
He is an eye catcher and will certainly draw the judge’s eye. He would make an amazing hunter prospect, but he is also going to be a great all around horse. Currently asking *****, price may increase with training and showing.
Avi is an adorable 2010 chestnut and white grade paint. This 14.2hh gelding is offered for sale at $6500 (negotiable to right home). His naturally very forward. He has 3 great gaits. Avi is sensitive to seat and leg cues, and is developing really good control over his shoulder and back legs. He has been in consistent work for over a year now, no lameness issues. He is mostly trained on the flat, with lots of long trail rides. Jumping fundamentals have been added to his training program once a week starting in Oct 2017. He loads and hauls well, stands for grooming, bathing, farrier.
This gelding is very forward, and soft in the contact. He is still learning to relax and trust the hand, he was extremely above the bit when he came to us. But he is learning to work over his back and developing the muscle to carry himself. He has good conformation, beautiful feet. Has gone barefoot, but is currently in front steel shoes. Despite his crabby ears, I have found that he actually likes to work and tries hard for me. He greets me when I come to the gate and follows me around the barn yard. He is relatively unflappable hacking on the trail, and very sure footed. Crosses water, bridges, banks, rides well alone. Walks, trots, and lopes on loose rein on the trails.
He has a natural talent for jumping, there is no stop in this guy – very brave. I highly recommend him as a foxhunter, trail horse, jumper, or eventer. We are going to be taking him to a few local schooling shows. Look for us out and about. I will happily give a lessons to introduce you to him, he is a great little mount, with a fun personality.
As you can see in our pics and videos, Avi needs someone his size. If he had a little more size on him, I would keep him for an event prospect. Come and meet this fun pony – email Amanda@allisoncreekfarm.com or call 706/338.1358.
